More about product
This handmade, one off, rustic copper backsplash showing iconic places worth seeing in New York shows only some of those ones I personally love the most about this city. What is more, the main copper tile is surrounded with 4 copper star tiles and 12 plain copper tiles. There are 17 tiles in total. Stars surround this copper tile were not a random choice-they contribute to the U.S. flag and 50 stars placed there represent 50 states, 50 individual places, 50 sources of inspiration, full of diversity and artists. The most special icon to me is the Statue of Liberty (which is actually made of 179.000 pounds of copper!)-a gift from France, an icon of independence (holding a tile with an important date in her hand-the date of the Declaration of independence, and a torch in her right Hand). This monument means a lot to me in the context of my own freedom and independence. I can remember myself looking at this Copper beauty from the Staten Island ferry when I was not brave enough to be independent as an artist, when making Copper art was only a hobby. I made a list of risks and benefits on that ferry. The numbers and the importance of the possible benefits won so I’ve decided to take this risk. On This tile made of copper one can also admire one World Trade Center (also known as one WTC or even Freedom Tower – Here comes the word freedom again!) – it’s the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center. This structure has the same name as the North Tower of the original WTC, which was destroyed on 11th of September. The building has been designed by David Childs, the designer of Burj Khalifa. The Building’s height in feet is a reference to the Copper Lady (Statue of Liberty)-1.776 feet is a reference to the year when the document crucial for the USA-United States Declaration of Independence-was signed.
Another building worth mentioning among those I have included in my copper tile is Chrysler building-it’s an icon of Art-Deco style, one of my biggest inspirations. It was the world’s tallest building until the Empire State building was built in 1931. However, it is the tallest brick building with a steel framework in the world. The Chrysler Building had to overcome many obstacles. Surprisingly, when it opened, the reviews concerning the design were mixed-ranging from its being unoriginal to that it was iconic. Moreover, for some time it was associated only with a competition with Empire State building to become the world’s tallest building. At the moment, combined with appropriate light, this art-deco beauty can steal the spotlight of any viewing. I believe this backsplash copper tile can steal the spotlight of any room or kitchen as well.

How to install
Ready to mount in 3 easy ways
How to install copper tiles for backsplash
Some set of copper tiles from our store need special procedure of installation.
My durable products are 0,2 Inches thick (0.6 mm) and very easy to install – just like regular tiles, using about 0,18″ (3 mm) grout.
Maintenance
Moreover, the maintenance is not a problem. Use 1/2 cup of liquid dishwashing detergent and 2 cups of warm water or mild soap solution. Use a soft cloth or rag, not an abrasive sponge, nor a pad. When cleaning the tile’s surface, wipe it gently, then rinse the cloth or rag with warm water. Wipe the tile’s surface until you make sure that any soap or dishwashing detergent residue is removed. Then dry the surface with a soft cloth or a rag.
